CDA to start much-delayed Margalla Avenue project

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) chief has directed the staff to remove all the hurdles and resolve all issues hindering the pace of the development work on the critical Margalla Avenue project, as construction work on the project would be started again right after Eidul Fitr with full swing. The CDA chief directed the Margalla Avenue’s project director to complete the remaining construction work with full zeal and at the earliest, as all the obstacles hindering the pace of the work on the said project have been removed. He said that the Margalla Avenue project should be completed on priority basis, as it is very important in providing easy access to the new sectors like C13, C14, C15, and C16, particularly to Sector D12 from GT Road, and Motorway in future. He said that this avenue would be extended and linked to other major avenues and roads of the city in future. He further said that the CDA would utilise all available resources for the early completion of this project, as this project would be helpful in reducing the burden of traffic on the roads and in flourishing business activities in the capital.
