Japanese commendation for PJCA president

ISLAMABAD: On behalf of Japan’s Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata conferred the Japanese foreign minister’s commendation to Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association’s (PJCA) President Roeeda Kabir, in recognition of her significant contribution for promoting the Japan-Pakistan cultural relations. The commendation award ceremony was held at the Embassy of Japan on Tuesday.Ambassador Inomata while speaking on the occasion highly eulogised the services rendered by the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association, KPK. He congratulated her on receiving this commendation given in recognition of the outstanding contribution to the promotion of friendship and goodwill between the people of Japan and Pakistan. This year, the commendations would be awarded to 108 individuals and 30 groups of which 20 individuals and 10 groups are from Japan, and 88 individuals and 20 groups are from overseas. The foreign minister’s commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in the international fields, to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. The commendation also aims to promote the understanding and support of the Japanese public for their activities. Roeeda Kabir has worked selflessly and with full dedication to promote the Japan-Pakistan cultural relations, and the government of Japan greatly values her services in this connection. As a token of appreciation, on behalf of the foreign minister of Japan, Inomata conferred commendation to her.
