IIRO dispatches 20 trucks of Iftar package


ISLAMABAD: The International Islamic Relief Organisation (IIRO) of Saudi Arabia has dispatched 20 truckloads of Iftar package for the deserving and needy in different parts of the country.Religious Affairs Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf was the chief guest on the occasion. Saudi officials and IIRO Regional Director Shiekh Abda bin Muhammad Ateen were also present. Speaking on the occasion, the federal minister thanked the Saudi government, IIRO, and people of Saudi Arabia for the initiative and said that this is indicative of the Saudi concern for the people in Pakistan. He said that Saudi Arabia had always been in the forefront of efforts to provide relief to the people affected by earthquake, floods, and poverty.Yousaf also appealed the philonthropists to come forward for helping the poor across the country, and particularly the internally displaced people (IDPs) of North Waziristan. Jasim Al Khalidi, a Saudi official said that this was a gift from a brother to brother and said that the Iftar package would be a regular feature during every Ramazan. IIRO regional director vowed to continue the service for the needy and the deserving people of Pakistan. Iftar package would be distributed among the poor people of Azad Kasmir, Rawlla Kot, Banjosa, Muzafaradad, Sohawa, Baag, Sowabi, Jhanda, Munsahra, Bheerkhand, Charsadda, Peshawar, and similarity in Rajinpur, Wazirabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, and Tonsa Sharif in Punjab. The package contains rice and wheat flour, sugar and pulse, cooking oil, dates, and dried milk.
