ISLAMABAD: The federal capital seems to have become a “playground” for criminals as the Islamabad police apparently continued to show negligence.
Multiple crime incidents took place here on Friday.
Unidentified robbers barged into a house in G13 and looted a motorcycle. An FIR was lodged with the Golra Police Station.
In another incident, thieves sneaked into a house in I8/4 and stole 2 mobile phones, cash and jewellery, with an accumulative value of Rs 80,000. An FIR was lodged with the Industrial Area Police Station. Unidentified thieves were able to break into a house in I10/2 and took away two motorcycles. Sabzi Mandi police registered a case of the incident.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist named Hakim Sajjad, a resident of G8/4, died when a lorry hit him. Sajjad sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot, while the driver of the vehicle escaped. An FIR was lodged with the Margalla Police Station.
Sajjad Arshad, a resident of I10 Markaz, was riding his motorcycle when a van numbered RIW-9057 hit him. Arshad died on the spot. An FIR was lodged with the Sabzi Mandi Police Station.
In yet another incident, two brothers named Noman Saleem and Suleman Saleem were riding a bike when a wagon hit them. Both the brothers received multiple injuries. The driver of the wagon made an escape. An FIR was lodged with the Sabzi Mandi Police Station.
A bullet-riddled body of a man was also recovered on Friday. The victim was identified as Malik Mohammad Arshad, a resident of Dhok Kala Khan. Police said that unidentified murderer(s) had gunned Arshad down and fled. An FIR was lodged with the Shehzad Town Police Station.
