CDA starts trimming wild bushes, grass

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to make the capital city clean and green, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a comprehensive campaign to trim down wild bushes and grass in various localities of the federal capital.An official of the CDA has said that the process for the beautification of parks, kids play areas and green belts is already in full swing while the trimming of wild bushes, shrubs and grass has also started. He termed the mushroom growth of unnecessary bushes in the city due to heavy rains during monsoon season. The CDA official said that the concerned departments of civic body are cutting bushes and grass to avoid hurdle in the smooth walk of the residents on footpaths, playgrounds and parks.He said that the growth of these unnecessary bushes and grass have covered the footpaths due to which pedestrians have no option but to walk on the road which is risky.
