Poly Clinic Hospital runs out of oxygen reserves

ISLAMABAD: The Poly Clinic Hospital, a government-run hospital of the capital, has run out of its oxygen reserves, as the supplier has stopped the further delivery over non-payment of dues of the past three years. According to media reports, the hospital’s oxygen reserves have hit to zero-level in its operation theatre, intensive care unit (ICU), and Cardiac ICU. Only the NICU has oxygen enough to last only for one-hour. As the situation grew tense, the desperate hospital administration started compelling the supplier to provide oxygen, enough to last for at least four hours for the kids ICU. On the other hand, the supplier has claimed that a commission is being demanded from him for the clearance of his receivables.
