ISLAMABAD: To celebrate the 58th National Day of his country, Tunisia’s Ambassador Mourad Bourehla hosted a reception at a local hotel.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Pervaiz Rashid and the State Minister for Interior Baleeghur Rehman cut the cake to mark the National Day celebration along with the Tunisian ambassador in Islamabad. The function was attended by a large number of guests, including political entities; religious scholars; diplomats and local people. National anthems of both the countries were played on the arrival of the chief guests, Rashid and Rehman. Later, the ceremonial cake was cut by Bourehla, ministers and other diplomats. Away from the busy life of the city, the participants were treated with warm hospitality extended by Bourehla and his team. He greeted each and every guest with smile and with brotherly feelings. Tunisia has strong ties with both the European Union and the Arab world.
The country is also a member of the international and regional organisations such as the United Nations, the Arab League, the Africa Union, the World Trade Organisation, and the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. The economy of Tunisia is quite diverse. The important industries of Tunisia are petroleum products, tourism, agriculture, mining, and manufacturing.
