Electoral reforms only cure for all ills: Imran

* PTI chief says he will himself lead Independence March on August 14

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Friday issues facing the country will not be solved “till the correction of the election system”.
“Those who come into power through rigging cannot solve the problems of the country.” He claimed that the assets and businesses of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are out of the country and yet they say that we will invest in Pakistan. Imran said “if the people who helped in the rigging are brought to justice rigging will not happen again”. Imran said on Friday that he will lead the “Azadi March” on August 14 and will bring one million people to Islamabad. Talking to a private TV channel he warned that if the Punjab Police picks up guns against the PTI workers “I will not spare them”. Imran reiterated that record rigging took place in the elections of May 11, 2013. “We had not accepted the rigging. We demanded the verification of (votes) in four constituencies, but the government is frightened. The government doest not want to verify these constituencies,” he said, adding, “We knocked every door, but did not get justice, therefore, we have decided to move towards the roads.”
