Rawalpindi blast: case registered against unidentified culprits

RAWALPINDI: The police have registered a case in the City Police Station against unidentified culprits for Thursday’s blast in which at least 19 people were injured. The blast took place at 10am when an explosive rigged to a bike in the parking of the restaurant on College Road went off, injuring 19 people. The police have seized the CCTV footage of the incident which shows that a biker, wearing a helmet, appears in parking area, parks his bike, and instead of entering into the restaurant, moves away, followed by a blast. It is pertinent to mention here that the restaurant owner, Mian Naeem, was assaulted at his residence with a cracker bomb a month ago after failing to pay heed to extortion calls.
