Rain hits twin cities; more forecast for next two days

ISLAMABAD: Rain hit the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Friday afternoon ahead of the landing of Azadi and Revolution Marches led by Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri in the Federal Capital. The rain has made the weather pleasant for the citizens in general and the participants of the marches in particular. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions during next two days. Isolated heavy falls may also occur in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions during the period. The weather forecast may not be encouraging for the organizers and participants of the Marches as it would be difficult for those under the open sky to face the weather vagaries.
