Rawalpindi police arrest 67 lawbreakers

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Police arrested 67 lawbreakers including six gamblers, a drunkard and three on immoral activities and seized over 10 kilograms charas, 77 bottles of liquor, 32 litre wine, 20 pistols 30-bore with 84 rounds, three rifle 12-bore with three rounds, fireworks and other illegal items from the possession of arrested accused during last three days.According to Police spokesman, New Town police held Tariq Mahmood on recovery of 520 grams charas. Murree police booked Iqbal for having 215 grams charas while Aamir Khan was sent behind the bars for possessing 500 grams charas. Airport police nabbed Muhammad Sadheer with 1050 grams charas. Taxila police arrested Riaz Khan and another accused for possessing 2330 grams charas while Usman, Rahid Ali and Altaf were booked on recovery of 1050, 1030 and 1050 grams charas respectively. Airport police on information raided at a brothel in Chohan Chowk area and rounded up three accused namely Patras Masih, Saleem and Nusrat Bibi as they were allegedly found involved in immoral activities.Bunni police netted Waris Ali and recovered four litres of wine. Jatli police netted Afzal and seized 10 litres of wine. Cantt police arrested Tahir Hussain for carrying 12 bottles of liquor. Wah Cantt police nabbed Haroon Rasheed with eight liquor bottles. Muhammad Sohail was held as six liquor bottles were recovered from his custody. Gujar Khan police apprehended Mujeeb for having 20 bottles of liquor. New Town police held Muhammad Naeem and recovered 105 kites and kite flying string rolls. Other accused were rounded up for possessing illegal weapons, drugs, liquor and other items.Meanwhile, Wah cantt police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid and arrested six gamblers namely Aslam, Ghulam Khan, Muhammad Din, Ansar, Ashaq and Javed as they were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.
