Police round up 11 lawbreakers; recovers liquor, drugs



RAWALPINDI: The police, under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 11 lawbreakers, besides recovering over 6,836 grammes of charas, 45 bottles of liquor, and three pistols of 30 bore with nine rounds from the possession of the arrested accused. According to the police spokesperson, the Sadiqabad police held an accused for having two kilogrammes of charas while another man was rounded up for possessing two kilogrammes of charas. The Waris Khan police netted a man and recovered 1,220 grammes of charas. The Pir Wadhai police nabbed a person and seized 540 grammes of charas from his possession. The Saddar Barooni police arrested a man and recovered 536 grammes of charas. Moreover, a man was sent behind the bars as the police recovered 540 grammes of charas from his possession. The airport police nabbed an accused for carrying 25 bottles of liquor, while another man was held for having 20 bottles of liquor. Meanwhile, the Pir Wadhai police arrested another accused and recovered a 30 bore pistol and three rounds from him. The RA Bazaar police rounded up another accused and recovered a pistol of 30 bore with four rounds. The Taxila police recovered a pistol of 30 bore and two rounds from the possession of another accused.
