Demand for tailoring services surges ahead of Eid

ISLAMABAD: The demand for tailoring services has surged in the twin cities like other parts of the country ahead of Eidul Fitr, as second Ashra of the holy month of Ramazan has started.Eidul Fitr is the occasion when the people of all ages are seen busy in buying new clothes to wear on the Eid festival and tailors and embroidery workers have become high in demand. Majority of the people have handed over their clothes to the tailors before the start of Ramazan, fearing the closure of the bookings due to the rush, while some are managing to hire the services of some tailor these days to get their clothes stitched with more charges. “No doubt, Eidul Fitr is the biggest occasion to earn good business but it is very difficult to make huge business on this Eid due to power outages and hot weather conditions,” Amjad, a tailor at Aabpara Market said. He said, “I have closed the bookings from now onwards so that the already booked orders can be delivered in time to the customers.”
