NA body directs CDA to provide details of employees’ plots

ISLAMABAD: The Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat on Wednesday sought details of the plots allotted to the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) employees during the last five years.The NA body which met at the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA, enquired as to what improvement was brought in the CDA and achievements obtained by it so far. The committee sought a progress report of work on 104 family suites, Parliament Lodges, including details of maintenance budget incurred on the Parliament House and Parliament Lodges. A CDA member informed that the main project of the CDA, namely the Kashmir Highway, has almost been completed and has been opened up for the traffic. He said that a lane of the highway is under construction which would be completed in a few days. He further stated that three sectors, namely C15, C16, and C17 are being planned, topography of which have been completed and its detailed design are under preparation at present, and the PC of those sectors have been completed. The member further informed the committee that the proposed construction of flat complex schedule in Sector I15 have been converted into allotment of plots to the allotees. The committee also demanded a report regarding the Multi-Professional Cooperative Housing Society, J&K Cooperative Housing Society Sector G15/F15, Zone-II, Pakistan Medical Cooperative Housing Society Sector FII and list of total commercial plots sold by the CDA during the last five years along with their value. The NA body also sought provision of investigation report with reference to the CDA’s request to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for registration of FIR against the management of three private housing schemes in the city. The committee chairman directed the civic body authorities to submit details of office bearers of collective bargaining agents in the CDA who were sent abroad during the last five years and competent authority who granted approval along-with the amount incurred thereupon. The committee considered the agenda regarding the details of recruitments made in the CDA during the last five years.Meanwhile, the NA body discussed the list of official vehicles along with their allocation with the CDA officers and also sought detail of the officers/officials who are working on deputation in the CDA mentioning their parent departments including the criteria for allotment of plots to the deputations in the CDA. Hayat directed to provide details of the budget/expenditure of the CDA incurred during the last five years. Complete list of the housing societies and their lay-out plans with their legal status, particularly, the Senate Secretariat Housing Society was also sought by the committee in its next meeting on July 1 and 2, at the CDA head office. MNAs Malik Ibrar Ahmad, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Parveen Masood Bhatti, Nighat Parveen Mir, Shahnaz Saleem, Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, and Muhammad Rehan Hashmi were also present in the meeting.
