32 nabbed in operation against criminals

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Tuesday nabbed 39 suspects during a search operation in the areas of Sabzi Mandi, Sihala, and Aabpara, a police spokesperson said.According to reports, Islamabad SSP Muhammad Ali Nekokara directed all the zonal officers, SDPOs, and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operations in the slums, Afghan habitats, under construction buildings, workshops, and bus stands. Following his directives, teams of the Sabzi Mandi, Sihla and Aabpara police stations under the supervision of SDPOs and SHOs conducted search operations in their respective areas. The police nabbed 39 suspects during the checking who are being investigated further. The police also apprehended 12 professional alm-seekers to curb begging practices. During checking, 53 motorbikes and 15 vehicles were impounded for being driven without authentic documents.Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi police arrested five gamblers besides recovering stake money and mobile phones from their possession. According to reports, the Westridge police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in the Allaabad area and arrested five gamblers as they were allegedly involved in gambling while playing cards. The police recovered Rs 10,000 stake money, six mobile phones, and other items from their custody.On the other hand, the Islamabad police nabbed 12 outlaws, including five court absconders and two foreigners involved in different criminal cases, a police spokesperson said. According to reports, the Ramna police conducted a raid on a private club after getting search warrant from the relevant court and arrested two Nigerians. The police recovered 51 bottles of wine and beer from their possession. The Golra police recovered nine bullets of 12 bore from an accused. Moreover, the Shehzad Town police recovered an iron rod from a culprit during patrolling. The Lohi Bher police arrested two culprits Badshah and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
