13 outlaws arrested; stolen car, illegal arms seized

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: The Islamabad police in its drive against the anti-social elements on Thursday arrested eight accused from different localities and recovered a stolen car, wine, and illegal pistols from their possession, a police spokesperson said.Islamabad SSP Muhammad Ali Nekokara had assigned the task to all the SDPOs and SHOs to curb activities of mischievous elements through high vigilance and effective policing. Following these directions, strict patrolling is being maintained in the city. According to details, the Margalla police have arrested two thieves and recovered looted items worth Rs 43,000from their possession. The Golra police recovered three bottles of wine from an accused during checking at the Islamabad Chowk picket. The Bhara Kahu police have arrested five culprits and recovered two pistols of 30 bore, one gun of 12 bore, one 9mm pistol with 110 bullets, and 150 grammes of heroin from their possession. The Industrial Area police recovered a car that was stolen from Sector H9, which was found cut and welds during laboratory. During general hold up in the last 24 hours, 86 motorbikes and five vehicles were impounded which were being driven without authentic documents. The Islamabad SSP has appreciated the overall performance and further directed for effective policing and vigilance in the city.On the other hand, the Rawalpindi police have arrested five outlaws and recovered drugs, and weapons from their possession on Thursday. According to the police spokesperson, the Morgah police arrested an accused and recovered 150 grammes of charas from his possession while the RA Bazaar police another accused and recovered 330 litres of liquor from his possession. The Airport police arrested a man and recovered a pistol of 30 bore along with three rounds from his custody. The Chuntra police nabbed another accused and recovered a pistol of 30 bore with three round from his possession. The Kotli Sattain police held a man and recovered a pistol of 30 bore with two rounds from his possession. The police have registered separate cases against all of them and have started the investigation.
