CDA partially seals three restaurants in capital


ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) in its operation against sub-standard and un-hygienic food stuff during the last week has issued 43 notices, 17 challans to the violators and partially sealed the three restaurants by continuing its operation against sub-standard and un-hygienic food stuff during the last week.During the operation, two restaurants at G -10 Markaz and one at G-8 Markaz were partially sealed. Furthermore 10 liters of non-branded ketchup, 30 litters of non-branded soft drinks, 150 litters of sub-standard soda water, three chemical drums and 49 un-hygienic utensils were confiscated and then destroyed, said a press release issued here. Member Administration of the Authority, Amir Ali Ahmed has directed Directorate of Health Services to continue operation against sub-standards fruit and drink sellers in the city to make certain the supply of hygienic food stuff for masses during summer season.He said that the action should be taken against sellers of sub-standards, un-hygienic and expired food stuff  as per principals of public health and relevant rules. The special teams were taking action against sale of un-hygienic food stuff and submitting their weekly progress report to the Member Administration. The said action was taken by two specially formed Directorate of Health Services teams each headed by a Food Inspector working under supervision of Health Officer.
