EPA boosts anti-dengue campaign in Pindi


RAWALPINDI: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has boosted the anti-dengue campaign for preventing the growth of dengue and precautionary measures during the monsoon season. The department concerned is taking precautionary measures in parks, bus stops, hotels, restaurants, petrol pumps, and graveyards during the anti-dengue campaign. The Environmental Protection Agency would also administer tyre shops, junkyards, nurseries, and under construction buildings during the monsoon season. According to the EPA, the agency has sealed more than 200 places so far. The agency has issued notices to 659 owners of houses and shops while 2,500 people were asked to take precautionary measures for preventing the dengue growth. The staff of the EPA has visited over 4,000 places, in wake of the anti-dengue campaign.
