CAA’s bird hazard awareness campaign concludes



ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Monday concluded the one-week “Bird Hazard Awareness Campaign” aimed at educating the airport departments and airlines staff about the bird hazards during flight operations. A press release issued Monday said that the CAA management at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) observed this campaign from May 26 to June 2. “This one-week campaign comprised of seminars, walks, banners, and distribution of literature about the losses due to bird hazard at the airports and how to avoid it”, the press release said. Speaking at the concluding ceremony, BBIAP Airport Manager Ayaz Jadoon emphasised the need to educate the working agencies at the airport and general public to avoid dumping garbage around the vicinity of the airport.
