Address a statement by PML-N spokesman: PTI

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday termed the address of President Mamnoon Hussain to the joint sitting of the parliament as a statement by the party spokesperson. Addressing a press conference after the parliamentary meeting of the party, Imran said there was no word on minorities in the presidential address. He said the president failed to touch upon any important issues in his address to the parliament. He dismissed government’s one-year performance as ‘unsatisfactory’. “I exercised all legal forums on the issue of fraud in voting but I did not get justice,” he said, and added that his party was forced to take to the streets after justice was not delivered. He was of the opinion that no media channel should be shut down. He, however, said that media trial of head of a political party is not a right action. He said that the prime minister should have discussed special status of Kashmir with Indian counterpart Narindra Modi during his visit. Imran said investment will come into the country only when law and order situation is improved. He said more than 200 billion rupees of Pakistanis are in Swiss banks, including 60 million dollars of former president Asif Ali Zardari. He criticised the decision of operation in Waziristan, saying people will turn against the state and join hands with militants.
