CDA starts survey of 32-km-long Margalla Highway

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started to conduct a survey for the construction of the 32-kilometre-long Margalla Highway from Motorway to Murree Expressway. The sources said that the survey has been started by the CDA’s Engineering Department, in connection with the Margalla Highway. The sources said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had taken aerial view through helicopter with reference to the Margalla Highway. He was briefed that as per the master plan of the CDA, the Margalla Highway would be constructed. This highway would provide access to the residents of all areas and private housing societies located alongside Sector C18 to the city. The sources said that a 10-kilometre long road has already been constructed in the name of Margalla Avenue on this 32-kilometre long highway. The CDA is planning to initiate the construction work on the Margalla Highway project, following the completion of the Kashmir Highway expansion project.
