Woman guns down her girls, hangs herself to teach husband a lesson

ISLAMABAD: A woman allegedly shot dead her two minor daughters and later committed suicide in the Tohli Mori Area of Rawalpindi on Saturday night after she developed differences with her husband.In this cold-blooded incident that took place at Ghusia Chowk Tohli Mori, a woman, Rubina was annoyed with her husband over his second marriage, the relatives told the police. According to the police, the people of the locality heard the gunshots on Sunday morning and informed the police. The mother of the woman said that her son-in-law married second time, despite the fact that he was a jobless person that turned Rubina desperate.On Saturday night, Rubina allegedly killed her two daughters, six-year-old Rida and nine year Mamoona, and committed suicide by hanging herself. According to reports, the murder weapon was recovered from the spot. The police claimed that the incident appeared to be a suicide. However, it is investigating into the matter. For further probe, the husband of the woman was arrested and the bodies of the deceased were shifted to DHQ Hospital.153 held: The Islamabad police nabbed 153 persons during the last month (May) for their involvement in drug peddling activities and possessing illegal weapons, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.According to reports, the Islamabad SSP directed all SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs for effective crackdown against the drug sellers and those carrying illegal weapons. Following the strategy of high vigilance and enhanced patrolling, the Islamabad police nabbed 153 persons for involvement in these crimes and registered a total of 148 cases. The police recovered a total of 9 kilogrammes of hash, 1.5 kilogrammes of heroin, 1,009 bottles of wine, three Kalashnikov, five rifles, 64 pistols, one dagger, and 1,647 rounds.During the same period, the Islamabad police also arrested 80 absconders, including 53 proclaimed offenders and 27 court absconders. Islamabad SSP Ali Nekokara has said that more efforts are required to combat the criminals and the Islamabad police would leave no stone unturned to accomplish its prime responsibility. Police detain seven car robbers of two gangs: The Islamabad police have detained seven accused of two groups involved in several car thefts and has recovered four cars worth millions of rupees.The robbers disclosed that they used to steal the cars from the twin cities and used to sell them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on fake documents.During the initial investigation, the accused disclosed that they also used to call the owners of the cars and demand money to return their vehicles. Physical remand of these criminals has been taken from the court. Federal police in action: arrests 26 suspects: The federal police have arrested 26 suspected criminals in different raids and have recovered 240 litres of diesel, 215 kilogrammes of hash, and two pistols.During special checking, nine cars and 58 bikes without documents have been taken into custody while the police removed black papers of five cars. During the search operation in different areas, three suspicious persons were also arrested.
