Beggars, alm seekers swarm twin cities

ISLAMABAD: A large number of beggars and alm seekers have swarmed the twin cities, creating problem for the shoppers and motorists. A large number of beggars, including male and female children could be seen hovering at most of the business centres, traffic signals, and streets. Moreover, the groups of eunuchs and children can also be seen at the traffic signals, which surround the cars that stop at the signals, begging for five to ten rupees. They not only create hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic but also pose risk of road accidents. Aryan Khan, a resident of Sector G9 said that it was hard to shop in the market or eat in restaurants and stalls as the beggars keep on seeking alms from them.
