Lahore’s coveted nail fashion house The Nail Bar Lounge has teamed up with some of the country’s leading fashion designers, beauticians as well as an accomplished dietician to provide women, regardless of age, a chance to further groom and style themselves for various occasions and events and even for casual sit-ins. Aptly titled the Style Platform, the venture reaches out to all ladies seeking to replenish and educate themselves over fashion, beauty and their diet.
The Nail Bar Lounge co-owned by entrepreneurs Saba Rana and Anisha Yousaf have brought on board fashion designers Ayesha Khurram, Sarah Shahid and Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, interior designer-turned fashion designer Hamza Tarar, beauticians Hina Salman and Madiha Qaiser as well as nutritionist, dietician and gynaecologist Dr Shehla Javed Akram, making up a strong team for the Style Platform.
“With the wedding season doing the rounds, girls really need to know not just about the currents make-up trends, but also what looks best with what colour. For instance, if a bride is wearing an all red dress, she should abstain from the red colour on her face. That just doesn’t go well,” Hina Salman of Blush Salon said, while talking exclusively to Daily Times.
“Young women are often shy of accepting they don’t really have enough hang of fashion. By consulting stylists or other fashion professionals, girls will be able to educate themselves, on what to wear at which event and how to carry themselves stylishly. That’s very important,” designer Ayesha Khurram said, also while talking to Daily Times.
“For summers, all women should go for aqua shades for their nails. All shades of blues, greens and even other neons. Neons never go out of style,” Sana Rana of the Nail Bar Lounge said. “Acrylics nails also look very stylish and we imported tools and nail machines to pamper and take care of your nails like no other. I also recommend caviar nails, that look extremely gorgeous and let me add here that they are a one-time wear only,” Rana added.
The event featured a litany of stylists, beauticians, designers, socialites and media persons, all lending their support to The Style Platform venture. Entrepreneur, anchor and ‘Tea @ 5’ host Amna Kardar could be seen chatting up the guests in full swing, adding glamour and glitz to the event. Delicious delicacies were served to the guests, whereas the entire team of Nail Bar was available to offer guests for free nail services.
“We have Hamza Tarar of Casa Hamza on our style panel as well as Madiha Qaiser. Dr Shehla Akram gave out diet and fitness tips just a while ago and all our panellists are active and at the top of their respective fields, so we’re all very excited,” event manager Ayesha Nasir said, while speaking to Daily Times.
