Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari along with the band Mooroo, lent her vocals to a hip hop track, consisting of a rap she had composed herself, about how Pakistanis should “stand tall” on their “soil with pride”. The track released on Wednesday evening, adding hype to the very-talked about the eagerly-anticipated festival.
Adding to the festivities of the event, Bakhtawar can be heard with all her energy and enthusiasm, rapping away with the Mooroo band. The track highlights the significance of the festival; another feather in the cap for the promotional campaign of the Sindh Festival.
A music buff by nature, Bakhtawar goes on rapping about preserving Pakistan’s heritage. This was preceded by Facebook videos that she along with Bilawal made to promote the traditional ajrak.
The song with Mooroo is not the only single that will be featured during the festival. Musician Ali Gul Pir was asked to produce a track especially for the festival, with “Pakistan ka Beta”. Borrowing from “Saeein toh Saeein”, the track promotes the festival in a fun, engaging and affective manner.
