Police and revenue officials to act against Qabza groups
KASUR: District Nazim Rana Imtiaz Ahmad Khan said that a force of police and revenue officials had been constituted to wrest control of public and private land from Qabza groups. The district nazim said this while addressing a meeting of the district council, which was attended by members of district council and officers of various departments. The assembly members gave suggestions for improving the performance of some departments and the effective implementation of development projects. They also discussed the law and order situation in the district. Maqsood Ansari and Aslam Ansari demanded allocation of funds for the development of Kasur Ladies Park. The assembly was informed that a summary had been sent to the Punjab finance department for the earliest posting of teachers at all upgraded schools in the district. Rana Imtiaz assured the meeting that constructive and useful suggestions would be accommodated for completing uplift schemes. The meeting was informed that a letter from the district police officer (DPO) had been sent to the deputy inspector general DIG, Sheikhupura Rangers for the approval of setting up a permanent police chowki at Bhucher chowk, Kasur. app
