Woman caught with firearm freed

ISLAMABAD: Secretariat Police on Sunday released a woman arrested with a pistol at a function attended by Prime Minister Shujaat Hussain after she showed a firearms licence.

Special Branch police officials arrested Tehseen Agha for carrying the pistol at the walima ceremony of CBR Chairman Abdullah Yousaf’s son on Saturday night. She was released on personal guarantee; Sub-Divisional Police Officer Liaqat Ali said. He said Tehseen told police most of her family members carry licensed firearms while visiting their farms in the deserted area of Chatter Park. staff report
