Centres named for passport applications

LAHORE: Immigration and Passport Director General, Islamabad, has divided Lahore into two groups for submitting passport application forms and named eight National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branches for passport fee payment in Lahore.
IP Assistant Director Muhammad Iqbal Shahid quoted from the notification that the newly established Machine Readable Passport (MRP) Centres in Garden Town would receive passport applications from Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Gulberg, Garden Town, Cantonment Areas, Model Town, Faisal Town, Johar Town, WAPDA Town, Muslim Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Shadman, Sabzazar, Samanabad, Thokhar Niaz Baigh as well as from Kasur and Okara districts.
The Abbot Road MRP Centre (Old Passport Office) would receive applications from Walled City, Baghbanpura, Garhi Shahu, Icchra and the Sheikhupura district, he added.
Assistant director said that the passport fee would now be payable at the NBP’s branches in DHA, Jail Road, Regal, Cantonment Area, Gulberg Main Boulevard, Garden Town, Abbot Road and Data Darbar.
