PML-N forms 13-member board to interview candidates
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has constituted a thirteen-member board to conduct interviews of its proposed local bodies elections candidates from July 9 (today), Haji Muhammad Hanif, PML-N Lahore president, told reporters on Friday. Hanif said that Malik Pervez, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Mian Marghoob Ahmad, Malik Riaz, Chaudhry Maqsood Aslam, Haji Muhammad Sharif, Mirza Gulraiz Baig, Haji Muhammad Hanif Mian Muhammd Tariq, Majid Zahoor and Sheikh Kabeer Taj would interview candidates for town and union council nazims and naib nazims in the first phase and candidates for councilors in the second phase, Hanif said. He said that organising committees of towns had been constituted which would launch the election campaign of the PML-N candidates. He said that town committees would look after the election process from the slot of nazims to councilors. “PML-N will prove in the local bodies elections that Lahore is still the fort of Mian Nawaz Sharif,” he said. staff report
