ISLAMABAD: The National Institute of Health (NIH) on Wednesday said it administered only the World Health Organisation (WHO) certified imported anti-polio vaccines to children.
Referring to a news item appearing in Daily Times, a NIH press statement said that only WHO certified vaccine was being administered to children. “It is the same vaccine used all over the world and polio has been eradicated across the world using this vaccine,” the statement said. The statement claimed the vaccine had produced excellent results and had reduced the number of polio cases in Pakistan. The NIH said that the health of Pakistani children was of paramount importance and would not be compromised at all. staff report
