‘Government responsible for unrest in FATA’

PESHAWAR: Latif Afridi, a former tribal legislator, lambasted the government on Wednesday for problems prevailing in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, saying the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) laws denied justice to tribal people.

He was addressing a seminar on tribal areas at the Area Study Centre in Peshawar. He said the tribal people were being treated like Aborigines. He said “The tribal people were the only ones in the world living under laws like FCR.”
