Zardari to build new house in city
LAHORE: Asif Ali Zardari, the husband of Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto, has decided to construct a house in Lahore instead of buying one, sources told Daily Times on Wednesday. Sources close to Mr Zardari revealed that he had rented a house near the old terminal of the Lahore Airport on a three-year lease. “He had previously considered buying a house in Lahore, but later dropped the idea. He will now have a house constructed within the next two years,” sources said. PPP leader Khalid Ghurki had earlier tried to gift his house in Gulberg to Mr Zardari, but the latter refused. Mr Zardari will now establish his own secretariat at his Lahore residence. He will come to Lahore from Rawalpindi on January 5 leading a procession. staff report
