Franz Ferdinand in orange bust

Franz Ferdinand says they have been busted for trying to smuggle an orange into New Zealand.

The band was on their way to play Auckland’s Splendour In The Grass Festival, reports NME.com. Singer Alex Kapranos revealed the band was fined $200 when airport security found the orange in their luggage. He said: “They’re very particular about taking any kind of foodstuffs across the borders and things, they were going crazy and the X Ray machines were flashing and going nuts.” ananova
