Bankers demand more perks
LAHORE: A body of the National Bank officers association has demanded perks for the bank employees, according to A press release issued by the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Officers Welfare Association.
The executive council of the National Bank officer association met on August 5. The general secretary of the association, Naeemullah Faridi, demanded that salaries be increased by 40 percent and a handsome increase be given in house rent, conveyance, education, technical, medical and key holding allowances. He also demanded an increase in traveling and daily allowances and transfer and marriage grants. He said the anomalies in the last promotions should be removed and promotions for 2004 should be announced. He demanded that staff loans, including car loans and house building loans be made interest free. staff report
