‘Pakistan’s economy doing well’

BHAKKAR: Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-QA) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Saeed Akbar Khan Niwani praised President General Pervez Musharraf for steering the country out of the economic crisis. Mr Niwani said, “Pakistan has achieved self-sufficiency in defence and the economic field due to his wise policy.” He congratulated Mr Musharraf for his successful tour of the United States, Germany, United Kingdom and other countries. He specifically noted the efforts by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali to meet and cooperate with leaders of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) to ensure the smooth running of parliament. Mr Niwani said the LFO is no longer an issue for the people who want a decrease in the prices of essential commodities and better amenities. He said opposition leaders should unite to solve these problems. He said, “Hollow slogans are no solution to public problems.” —Staff Report
