CM asked to help Sialkot flood victims

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain on Thursday asked Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to visit the flood-hit areas of Sialkot district and take a string of relief measures and compensation for the flood victims.

The chief minister was also asked to observe the construction of an over-head bridge on the Tavi River and get it completed at the earliest.

The chief minister promised to push government departments on this matter, a press release issued here said. Chief Minister Elahi also assured the speaker that he would visit the area and ensure all possible help to the people.
