Arms exhibition begins today

PESHAWAR: A defence manufacturing exhibition organised by the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA) is being held here today (Friday).

A seminar on the defence manufacturing will also be held and addressed by Federal Minister for Industries and Production Liaqat Ali Jatoi. The minister will inaugurate the seminar followed by an exhibition of defence products, which will remain open till Saturday evening.

The seminar and the exhibition will host officials of the Defence Ministry, Production, the Defence Export Promotion Organisation, Kahuta Laboratories and a number of other defence-related organisations.

According to SMEDA, the seminar aims to strengthen networking between the defence manufacturing organisation and local vendors, and also highlight the importance of defence manufacturing with special focus on opportunities available for the small and medium enterprises. Arms manufacturers of Darra Adamkhel will also display their products in the exhibition.
