No citizen can get more than one ID card: NADRA

LAHORE: National Database and Regulating Authority (NADRA) Chairman Brig Saleem Ahmad Moeen has said arrangements have been made so that no citizen can get more than one identity card.

According to a release issued here on Thursday, Brig Moeen called on Punjab Chief Secretary Hafeez Akhtar Randhawa and informed him about the arrangements.

He informed the CS that two-thirds of eligible citizens were issued identity cards and the remaining would get their cards soon. The CS asked the NADRA chairman to evolve a system in which a person could get all facilities on the basis of identity card without any supporting identity document.

The NADRA chairman said online arrangements for the verification of particulars of a person would be introduced shortly.
