‘LHC not allowed to interfere in posting matters’
Staff Report
LAHORE: Justice M Javed Buttar of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday said the Supreme Court of Pakistan has formally restrained the high courts from interfering in transfer and posting matters of government officials. Justice Buttar said the Service Tribunal was the only competent forum to move these petitions and nobody could be allowed to bypass this forum. The court made these remarks in a petition by Farukh Nasim, who said the education department had posted her as Senior Secondary School Teacher (SST) to Government Higher Secondary School Awan Town, Lahore but later someone else was appointed to the same post. The court dismissed the petition.
