Zardari’s driver killed in gunfire

KARACHI: Benazir Bhutto’s jailed husband Asif Ali Zardari’s driver was killed in a mysterious incident of gunfire at Zardari House, police said. Police said driver Mir Mohammad Leghari was killed inside Zardari House late Wednesday night. Medico-legal experts at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) said the deceased sustained a bullet in his chest and one each in his left and right legs. Qalandar Bux, who is a security guard at the house, reportedly fled after the incident. Mir Jani, a relative of the Zardari family, said the incident was the result of “misfire” on the part of the guard.
