PESHAWAR An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit Chitral and nearby areas early Friday morning. The Seismological Network of the Pakistan Meteorological Department said the quake originated at 11:52 am and its epicentre lay about 250 kilometres north of Peshawar in the Hindukush mountains. app
