Governor Ghani to lay foundation stone for Sui garrison today

LARKANA: Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmad Ghani will lay the foundation stone for a military garrison at Sui today (Tuesday). Security in Sui has been beefed up ahead of the governor’s visit. Sources told Online that an unannounced curfew had been imposed on Sui and people had been told to remain indoors after sunset. Former prime minister Zafarullah Jamali said on Monday the government should get the trust of the people of Balochistan before setting up the garrison. The government should approve the recommendations of a parliamentary committee to settle the troubles in the province, he said. Jamali supported the government’s intention to build a major new dam, saying river water that was currently just flowing into the ocean could be put to good use. online
