WANA: Two army jawans and a civilian were killed while a clerk of the political administration was injured at Chag Zawar in Shakai when a landmine explosion hit their vehicle, official sources said on Monday.
Witnesses told Daily Times that the explosion took place near Shakai when army personnel tried to defuse a landmine.
Meanwhile, Aloomkhel, sub-tribe of the Ahmedzai Wazir, reached Shakai-like peace agreement with the government. The tribe submitted around 60 Kalashnikoves to the administration as surety bond and signed an agreement to pay Rs 10 million if they violated the agreement.
South Waziristan Agency Chief Administrator Asmatullah Gandapur asked the jirga to struggle alongside the army for the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan.
