Kasuri will visit Ajmer today

NEW DELHI: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri is leaving for Ajmer to visit the shrine of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti today (Wednesday).

On his return to New Delhi in the evening, he will attend a reception hosted by the Indian chapter of the South Asian Free Media Association. Prominent journalists and civil society representatives will attend the reception. Mr Kasuri will also have a breakfast with editors of leading national newspapers on Wednesday.

Mr Kasuri will leave for Jaipur in an Indian Air Force plane and from there he will take a helicopter to reach Ajmer. He will lay a ‘chadar’ at the tomb and seek blessings.

Mr Kasuri will stay in India for two more days after the two-day talks with his Indian counterpart. iftikhar gilani
