Sardar Yousaf likely to quit PML
MANSEHRA: Sardar Shahjehan Yousaf, an MNA of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and parliamentary secretary on Kashmir Affairs and the Northern Areas, may quit the party to protest his non-induction in the federal cabinet.
A PML source said that Mr Yousaf would soon tender his resignation to PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Mr Yousaf did not contradict the news when Daily Times contacted him for his statement. He said that he was under immense pressure from party workers and the people of his constituency and would take the next step after consultation with his electorate. He said that his father, Sardar Mohammad Yousaf, and he had worked for the PML cause not only in Hazara, but across the Northern Areas. Sources said that Mr Yousaf would join the Pakistan People’s Party after quitting the PML because his father had close relations with Aftab Sherpao. staff report
