Bar seminar on ‘uniformed democracy’ today

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Bar Association will hold a seminar titled ‘Constitution, democracy, parliament and fundamental rights under the shadow of uniform’ today.
Senator Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, the head of the Human Rights Committee of Pakistan People’s Party, proposed the seminar. Those who will speak include Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Members of the National Assembly Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Khawaja Saad Rafique, Senators Sanaullah Baloch and Amanullah, Justice (r) Rasheed A Rizvi, Supreme Court of Pakistan Bar Association (SCPBA) President Justice (r) Tariq Mahmood, former SCPBA president Hamid Khan and former ministers Sardar Assef Ahmad Ali and Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar.
