Acting CEC to review plans for LB polls on 9th
LAHORE: Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, acting chief election commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan, will visit the provincial election commission office on July 9 to review the arrangements for the first phase of the local polls in the province, Rahim Nawaz Durrani, Punjab election commissioner, told Daily Times on Wednesday.
The Punjab election commissioner said that Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar would preside over meetings of senior officers and review arrangements for the first phase of the local polls.
He said that in the first phase elections would be held in 17 districts including Gujranwala City, Sialkot, Sargodha, Khushab, Multan City, Lodhran, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Vehari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzzfargarh, Layya, Bahawalpur, Bahwalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. staff report
