Coalition forces condemned for brutalities in Iraq
LAHORE Pakistani human rights activists condemned the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at the hands of American and British troops on Wednesday.
Former chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan [HRCP], Asma Jehangir, slammed the occupation forces for maltreating the detainees.
She urged the Organisation of Islamic Conference to set up an inquiry commission to investigate the matter.
Senator SM Zafar also claimed American and British soldiers had violated the Geneva Conventions by treating the Iraqi prisoners despicably. He asked the United Nations to conduct an international inquiry into the incident. Senator Zafar also applauded the media for reporting the scandal. staff report
