Dixit’s death will not affect peace process, says FO
ISLAMABAD: The channel of talks between Pakistani National Security Adviser Tariq Aziz and Indian National Security Adviser JN Dixit was informal and there was no chance of Mr Dixit’s death affecting the India-Pakistan composite dialogue process, Foreign Office spokesman Masood Ahmed Khan said on Wednesday.
Talking to VOA, he said the talks’ channel was informal and both countries intentionally did not talk much about the matter.
He said there was no doubt that Mr Dixit was the main character in this regard, but “I don’t think his death will affect talks and consultations between the Indian and Pakistani governments”. “That is why I think the peace process has many layers. online
