Sharon to meet Bush and Blair in New York

JERUSALEM: Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is to meet with US President George W Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair next week while in New York for the UN’s 60th anniversary celebrations, a Foreign Ministry official said on Sunday.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because Sharon’s itinerary has not been finalised, had no further details on the meetings. More than 170 world leaders are expected to attend the UN summit, which is to begin September 14. ap
